Seeking to portray scenes from life, McGill's expressionist realist works are typically painted on-site near her studio in the California Delta. Additionally, she paints scenes from both sides of the Cascades in southern Oregon. Her larger studio pieces are also products of on-site investigations, with sketches, studies and photos laying the foundation. Wielding both brush and pallet knife, AnnMarie utilizes water soluble oils or acrylics to create her color infused pieces.
